In this role I managed all activities related to product management, development, professional services, training and technical support in connection with installation, maintenance of AlphaTrust products.

Developed all aspects of the Lutheran Life Communities intranet and Internet Sites (www.LutheranLifeCommunities.org) from scratch including ASP.NET framework, SQL Server databases and data access layer, ASP.NET Web Services, graphic user interface (GUI) and usability studies, and Adobe Flash development. I was initially hired on as a Web Applications Developer but after my first couple of months of working there I was promoted to Manager of Application Development with several employees reporting to me in the department. My duties included sales consultations, project management, Web design of all client web sites (roughly 30 clients over the last year), Web development of all client Web sites as well as any other application development for our clients. I managed all the Web servers for the hosting side of our company which included installing sites, IIS management, SQL Server database installations and management, Apache/PHP management. I completely redesigned the entire company intranet visually and architecturally. I changed the architecture to be more RAD friendly by completely separating their previous business logic and display logic. This allowed developers to develop requested Web site functionality in a few minutes rather than a few hours as it was previously. Other projects include tools for traders that help research trades with other financial companies, money wire transfer tool between other large investment firms, investor relations reporting tool, HR content management system, historical legal document management system, etc. I started the conversion of our “Classic ASP” Web site to ASP.NET 2.0 (beta 2). This entailed using Master Pages, Web Parts, Catalog Parts, Custom Web Controls, Web Part Interfaces (which allowed multiple Web Parts to communicate with each other without actually having prior knowledge of each other), ADO.NET, and using C# as the object oriented programming language.

Includes all Web graphics, site layout, navigation look & feel, keeping department updated on latest technologies and Web trends, Web design training for internals, interactive CD-ROM demos. Technologies used: HTML, DHTML, XML, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Freehand, Homesite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, ASP, VB Script, JavaScript, and SQL Server 7.0.
