PhD Candidate within the 'Living Dikes' program, researching salt marsh stability under extreme wave conditions.

Joined the in-house engineering department Hydronamic as a junior Discipline Engineer within the Environmental, Morphology and Metocean data group. Main work activities are in the field of hydrodynamics and morphology, supporting tender and projects in operation.

Followed the Boskalis Traineeship program, gaining experience in 3 different departments within the company, each for a half year. This includes:- Junior Engineer at in-house engineering department Hydronamic, supporting tender and projects in operation in the field of hydrodynamics and morphology, such as plume modeling and sedimentation.- Project Engineer at Subsea Rock Installation department, including rotational deployment onboard various fall pipe vessels and projects in operation.- Spill Monitoring Officer in the Environmental department at Fehmarn Belt Contractors JV , responsible for measuring sediment spill by dredging equipment with various instruments onboard a survey vessel.

Performing the first stage of my msc. thesis at the Chinese partner university. My work consisted of performing a literature review, contact with local experts and a field visit.

As an intern researcher I carried out a study on a hybrid solution for the coastal protection of city of Galveston, Texas, US. In this research I looked at the impact of applying a dike-in-dune, as constructed in the Netherlands, at the current Galveston seawall as a primary coastal protection. This research is part of a bigger ongoing effort by the TUDelft in collaboration with several other U.S. universities into the protection of the Texas Coast against flooding caused by storm surges and hurricanes.
