Contract Coordinator
CurrentBecame a Contract Coordinator after being an Environmental Services Supervisor for the region’s largest level 1 trauma center.• Assist in supporting the Materials Management program by analyzing and implementing hospital and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts.• Presents findings and recommendations to the designated Value Analysis Team (VAT) with the use of analyses, charts and graphs to support findings.• Responsible for on-going contract compliance and maintenance of contracts. • Assist in conducting proactive analysis to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in supplies and services.• Provide information and analysis to management on contract compliance, supply utilization and standardization opportunities.• Participate in the evaluation of GPO supply contract to determine suitability to our hospital needs and interest.• Identify opportunities to effectively leverage the system’s size and scope when negotiating for supplies, equipment and services.• Negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs of supplies and services.• Provide the financial impact for each GPO agreement and hospital negotiated agreement.• Coordinate with hospital legal counsel or corporate contract administration department as appropriate on hospital negotiated contracts.• Create schedule for over 180 employees.• Ensure smooth on boarding of new employees, including department orientation, training and scheduling.• Responsible for investigating, creating and delivering corrective action for the department.• Conduct interviews of candidates for various roles in the department.• Completed Academy of Leaders Preparing for High Achievement (ALPHA) training.• Facilitator of monthly staff meetings.• Completed ProAct and DOJ Safe Harbors Certification.
