I am a bicultural executive with an MBA from UT at Austin, fluent in English, Spanish and intermediate French. I have more than 15 years of experience within the financial services industry plus 8 years with managerial roles within different companies as a Controller and Director in different types of industries including Real Estate, Logistics, Media, and Engineering among others. Within my commercial financial services experience, I have solid background of Sales and Credit in companies like Scotiabank and GE Capital. In both institutions I had the opportunity to be in both roles. On the Credit side, capable to analyze, identify, manage and recommend the risks within different types of lending, factoring and leasing structures. Always looking to find the right structure as per the corresponding Risk appetite in each company and looking to find new business opportunities to provide more value to my customers. These attributes, among an impeccable customer experience approach, well-structured and disciplined portfolio management, capability to generate empathy and customer’s trust, had brought me success on every institution I have worked for. I was rated top Credit Manager at Scotiabank and later became the top Sales contributor on cash management services within the organization under my Senior Relationship Manager role. At GE Capital I was able to exceed my Risk Underwriting functions by designing new underwriting models, leading GE Capital’s due diligence to buy a Bank from Colombia, among other special projects. Afterwards, becoming a Senior Sales Manager in which I was rated top contributor for three years, brought 29 new customers to the organization and was capable to coach and promote junior executives which I proudly managed. At Element, I am currently in charge of a Portfolio of a diversified group of companies including Fortune 500 companies and mid-size public and private companies from US and Canada. Within less than a year I was able to get delegated lines approval faculties for up to $20M. Additionally, I was able to structure some of the most important new deals for Element during 2023.
