Small business owner since the age of 18 in the city of Wayne. Started in the c-store business right out of high school in a franchise store that was seeing the lowest sales numbers in their history. The Dairy Mart franchise pulled their name right at the time that I purchased the location. Within 2 years, the store was turning a profit, and 2 years after that, the location had doubled in the size of inventory and sales, with a steady increase in profit despite the economy. 6 years in, I completely remodeled the store, and turned it into a Michigan Craft Brew store, specializing in locally produced beer. The store has been flourishing ever since. I have since put on 6 very successful "Customer Appreciation Days' to give back to the customers who have supported me by having a parking lot party once a year in July with than 1,000 in attendance!I have worked for the Lake Angelus Police Dept. as a Marine Division Officer in a part-time position. A resident within the city wanted armed guards at his movie theaters where I worked on the weekends.I served for a short time with the Wayne Chamber of Commerce. We put on 2 separate "Un-tag Wayne" events where volunteers spent multiple days cleaning graffiti off of affected areas around the city. I am a gun rights advocate/activist with my own organization - Young Guns of Michigan - where I am the President. Young Guns of Michigan has put on an Open Carry Cleanup in the city of Detroit, where legally armed citizens organized to clean up affected areas. I am also on the Board of Directors for Michigan Open Carry, Inc. where I serve as the active Secretary. We work in alliance with the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners and Michigan Gun Owners, which are advocacy groups that pass legislation and educate. I am knowledgeable in firearms law and help to educate the general public of their firearms rights. I am an NRA certified Range Safety Officer.
