Essential job functions of this position include budget design and oversight, leadership, board relations, operations, facilities management, fund development, and large event planning. - Increased annual budget from 2.5 to 3.3 million dollars (+32%) with new revenue streams which included new grants and contracts, revolutionized fund development, lucrative relationships with local leaders, and a first ever investment plan. - Recruited and grew staff size to create a Natural Resources & Environment Department supported by new grants from the United States Department of Agriculture, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and private funding sources, to provide education in clean energy, sustainability, conservation, and climate change.- Amassed over 200 acres of property via acquisition and collaboration to utilize for educational programming.- Overhauled operational practices and policies which included new/revised: Board and Committee Governance, Capacity Building, Constitution and By-Laws, Emergency Management, Human Resources, Organizational Structure, Risk Management and Strategic Planning. - Spearheading the Western New York Solutions for Farming and Food Access (WNYSFFA) working group to combat food insecurity social issues in western New York. - Restored 4-H Youth and Volunteer enrollment to pre-pandemic levels.
