The Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations provides a vehicle for veterans service organizations to collaborate with the Department of Veterans Services on meeting the needs of Virginia’s veterans. The Joint Leadership Council is open to one representative from each qualifying veterans service organization in Virginia that chooses to participate. Additional organizations will be added as certification documents are submitted. All veterans organizations are encouraged to join this initiative to support Virginia’s veterans and their families, by contacting the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

The Director’s Exchange Retiree Advisory Council (ERAC) is made up of members from organizations that represent the full spectrum of military retirees and their families. It is composed of people nominated as official representatives of their respective organization or association and selected by the Exchange Director/CEO. They advise the Director/CEO on issues of interest to the retiree community and help to communicate the value of the exchange benefit.

The Non Commissioned Officers Association serves our members with representation in Washington DC in a variety of ways to include legislative representation, military affairs and veteran affairs. NCOA does this by being a member of the Military Coalition and many other committees in the National Capital Area while also maintaining a relationship with VA and senior enlisted leadership representing all five branches of the military.

GTSC is a nonprofit, non-partisan 501(c)(6) association of companies that create, develop and implement solutions for the federal homeland and national security sector. Our mission is two-fold: first, to provide exceptional advocacy, capacity building, partnership opportunities and marketing in the Federal security space for small and mid-sized companies. Second, to support and assist our government partners achieve their critical missions with the highest integrity; best and most innovative technologies; and results-based, quality products and services to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to and recover from any terrorist attack or natural disaster.

Port Security Unit 305, Fort Eustis, Virginia

Port Security Units conduct port operations, security, and defense in support of the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense. Port Security Unit (PSU) 305 is an active duty commissioned Coast Guard Unit assigned to Commander, Coast Guard Pacific Area. When activated, the unit operates under the direction of Commander, Maritime Defense Zone Atlantic or a Department of Defense Combatant Commander.

Served as Reserve Recruiting Liaison in the Office of Reserve Affairs. Demonstrated exceptional initiative, creativity, and keen analysis capabilities. Paramount in streamlining the Reserve recruiting process. Tirelessly advocated for the improvement of processes, policies and procedures between the Office of Reserve Affairs, Recruiting Command, and Personnel Services Command, by identifying and proposing solutions to numerous accession challenges. Unwavering commitment achieved 95% position fill rate in 2013, a remarkable improvement of 35% from the previous year. Contributed to the service-wide analysis of the Reserve E-8 and E-9 workforce contributing to the improvement of the senior enlisted leadership workforce structure. As an integral contributor to the Reserve regional analysis for D17 and D9, used adroit insight and methodology to decipher complex data and set a model precedent for future Reserve workforce reviews.
