Focused on our mission. As President and CEO, J.R. Toland leads the team responsible for continuing the unique culture established by our founder, the late John Savage. J.R. provides overall leadership for the organization and communicates its vision, strategy, and direction.J.R.’s leadership style is grounded in Savage’s core values of integrity, client focus, accountability, excellence, and balance. He exemplifies our company’s vision to make a difference in other’s lives—both at work and in the community.J.R. joined Savage and Associates in 1984. Before being named President and CEO, he focused on his role as Financial Advisor, assisting small business owners and corporate executives in securing comfortable retirement plans. In that capacity, he also designed tax-efficient business succession plans and executive benefit plans that helped companies attract and retain the best and brightest people.J.R. is actively involved in several community causes. Having coached youth football teams since the early 2000s, he has positively impacted his players' lives. He is a past board member for GAMA International, and a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
