In my role of Strategic Analyst, I develop business cases, cost benefit analysis and project charters for strategic growth and cost control initiatives that support our company goals. I work on building the yearly IT budget along with senior executives. I perform audits to validate how well our projections for improvements and savings were realized. I also manage some company initiatives. I managed the original initiative to transition NFS Print and Mail to a Strategic Document Outsourcing partner and several years later move to a different partner to realize more savings and higher quality. This process included partner selection as well as the detailed work to move the mail. The original initiative reduced the cost of processing outgoing mail by 12%. NFS generates approximately 13 million pieces of policy related mail-kits.I am an Agile enthusiast and coach.I am an expert with Rally Software for Agile Project and Portfolio Management.

As the Manager of Business Analysis I had multiple responsibilities. As the leader of the Business Analysis department I provide the vision for the team and align the department with the goals of IT and the company. As a manager, I lead a team of 6 business analysts. I mentored my team members in the best practices for requirements elicitation, writing use cases, creating activity diagrams, state transition diagrams and data flow diagrams. The business analyst team performs the business analysis for systems currently in development and the maintenance and enhancements to existing legacy systems. In my business architect role I manage the relationship with the business community to assure we captured the features of the new systems and to assure we maintain consistency of common features across all the insurance products.In 2009 through 2010 I was assigned the additional role of Program Manager for National Flood Services’ Data Warehouse initiatives.

As the Sr. Program Manager I was responsible for setting the short term tactical and long term strategic products and services that map to the Certiport corporate goals. I oversaw the performance of business process analysis. I worked with the software team to answer business process questions and to participate in design and code reviews. I worked with the Evaluation and Validation Services team when they performed software testing. I reported to the CIO and as his senior team member I represented him in various meetings.

Mountainland Applied Technology College is a campus of the Utah Colleges of Applied Technology (UCAT) created and tasked by the Utah legislature to provide competency based training for adults and high schools students.As a faculty member, I am responsible for teaching various IT courses and labs that instructs students in curriculum to pass the Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCP and CompTIA Linux+, A+ and Net+ certification tests. I am also developing two new courses, an Introduction to Programming course and a STIT (Short Term Intensive Training) course focusing on computer repair and upgrade to supplement the material taught in a traditional A+ course.

I was one of the founding members of the Activision external alpha and beta test team call The Visioneers. This was a volunteer position.

As a member of the BORN National Practice I supplied system and software architecture and project management services to companies in a variety of industries, including aerospace, transportation, international marketing, and mortgage finance industries. I performed business analyses and capacity planning to create practical architectural roadmaps that support business requirements. I directed and led teams in delivering sophisticated projects. I had projects with Boeing, First Horizon Home Loan Corporation, BNSF and Nurse Finder.

MIS Specialist providing support for the Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering departments with a DEC PDP system and introducing Novell Netware for networking IBM PC systems. I also programmed in dBASE, Professional BASIC and FORTRAN.

System Technika designed and marketed computer controlled welding systems that interfaced to robots and CNC equipment.
