Provided full-stack implementation, design, architecture, troubleshooting, and technical leadership for a development group responsible for web applications, supporting utilities, and APIs using ASP.NET, MVC, C#, IIS, HTML5, JavaScript/jQuery/JSON, CSS3/Sass, SQL Server, XML, XSLT in a distributed enterprise environment with over five years on agile/scrum projects.• Designed and implemented solutions to enable continued competitive growth for the company’s newly acquired Advisor Solutions product suite, leveraged by 50,000+ financial advisors, enterprise broker dealers, and financial institutions to build trust relationships, increase revenue, and improve operational efficiency.• Drove prototyping and implementation of responsive user interface design, system architecture, and process changes to transform the Advisor Solutions product suite from a basic website to a rich responsive website based on the product’s legacy code base.• Analyzed and automated a previously manual build and deployment process for the Advisor Solutions product suite for both compiled code artifacts and database DDL/DML scripts employing the nascent DevOps initiative, creating, and refining Jenkins pipelines and jobs and created automated unit tests that ran during the pipelined build process.• Identified and remediated performance issues in database and backend C# code reducing product page load times by as much as 80-90%. Many of the observed performance issues were the result of excessive database calls requiring refactoring of business logic libraries and creating new database stored procedures and functions.• Designed and implemented advisor alert campaign manager to replace a commercial enterprise campaign application running on dated server for which firm end-of-life date had been imposed, determining additional requirements to reduce complexity and improve accuracy of error- prone manual steps performed by the alert publishing editorial team.

Provided IT and validation services to a number of pharmaceutical companies with a focus on drug safety system implementations and drug safety data migrations. Also provided software development services for web & database application development. Key technologies include, Oracle's Argus Safety, Oracle RDBMS (8i-11g), and PL/SQL as well as web development technologies such as HTML, Javascript, CSS, PHP, ColdFusion, and ASP.Net.

After FDFN was acquired, and as a full-time/temporary software engineer at CCBN, ported key features supporting workflow of a live audio streaming and encoding application from LAMP stack used at FDFN to the Microsoft technologies in use at CCBN (ASP, VBScript, MS SQL Server, T-SQL). Afterwards, developed feature enhancements for CCBN’s institutional web application Street Events to support international markets using the Microsoft technologies. Left to pursue opportunity with BKP Technologies just before Thomson Financial bought CCBN in early 2004.

Architected and developed key feature enhancements in a system for managing and accessing upcoming, live, and archived corporate disclosure conference call audio and near real-time transcripts. Designed and implemented portfolio alerts and keyword/phrase alerts for live events, calendar and portfolio views, phrase searching, and administrative and production functions and applications. Also, developed content acquisition and work-flow systems for managing and synchronizing event audio and transcript streams as well as post event triggered processes including conversion to Word, PDF, XML and other custom formats for email alerting, archiving, and distributing to third party vendors. Technologies include Java, JSP, PHP, MySQL, Perl, Linux, and Apache.

Integral member of a high caliber development team on the initial and subsequent versions of Research Bank Web, one of Thomson’s first and most profitable websites. Designed and implemented critical features and introduced new technologies, including a trusted Java applet, an XML-based server-side module to stream selected search results, and numerous product enhancements throughout the application's development. Also, led team to re-architect key components of a high profile ($40,000,000 in annual revenue), 24 x 7 financial web site that delivered brokerage documents in PDF format. Preserved and reused critical business logic, transitioned site to Java/J2EE architecture, and coordinated with development teams in Boston and London. Pertinent technologies include C++, Java/J2EE, Rogue Wave, Unix, XML, HTML).

Served as systems engineer responsible for a large sub-system within a secure cryptographic key management facility. Provided critical operational support and analysis after initial operational deployment. Performed functional analysis and presented options for system enhancements to streamline daily operations of the key management facility. Maintained extensive client contact while evaluating and identifying true operational needs. Designed, implemented, and integrated several critical modules within a multi-process system implemented on a VAX/VMS platform and that used Digital's DMQ inter-process communications facilities.
