I'm currently on the Mission Infrastructure team supporting Enterprise Opsware, VMWare, Citrix, Windows, Solaris and Redhat systems. My current responsibilities include special projects, daily operations, modernization, networks as well as hardware and software support for mission data flows and processing. I am also responsible for implementation and management of our enterprise storage environment consisting primarily of NetApp appliances. Most recently incorporating a NetApp VTL device into our existing Symantec NetBackup and Storagetek tape library.

Supporting enterprise mission Citrix farms and implementing projects to modernize of hardware and software to fully leverage distributed computing resources. Current support for the Enterprise Citrix environment is rapidly growing due to new special projects, personnel relocations to off site facilities and providing remote connectivity to analysts worldwide. My previous experience in networking infrastructure, collaborations tools & Unix/Windows support has enabled me to coordinate well with other teams to test and deploy applications within a terminal services environment.

Lead SA on each twelve hour shift is responsible for all network, computer, telephony and vtc issues affecting operations of the 24/7 watch center. Coordinate directly with the Senior IT Officer to ensure mission operations are carried out without service interruptions. Expertise in network storage solutions, collaboration, messaging systems, real-time reporting systems and continuity of operations planning and exercises.

Current supporting Enterprise Windows/Unix servers and desktops in a diverse environment. Backup team lead on a special projects team that combines all IT frameworks (Desktops, Servers, Networks & Telephony) under one organization for special projects such as deployments, office relocations and large scale modernization initiatives. Serve as both lead tech, customer relations advocate and networking specialist.

Initially part of a team of three techs providing University of MD Medical Center and R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with IT support for special projects. One such project under my supervision, coordination and implementation was the clinical systems modernization plan. I was tasked with getting an accurate audit of existing systems and their state and coordinate replacement.

Provide Tier I & II support to all Legg Mason financial advisers located in branch offices both U.S and over seas. This position gave me the opportunity to expand my skill-set to include customer relations, exposure to many complex systems that work together/independently. Gained first hand experience of auditing systems put in place as a result of governance changes like Sarbanes-Oxley. Practiced and participated in continuity of operations planning in which the primary data center connection was cut and backup was brought online to handle data processing.
