Troops was acquired by Salesforce (CRM) in July 2022.Troops set out to change the way people interacted with CRM data by bringing the most important information, workflows, and actions from the CRM ecosystem into messaging platforms like Slack and Microsoft Teams. What started out as a concept only a few early adopters understood in 2016, eventually became the direction and thesis taken by some of the most important cloud companies in the world on the future of work culminating in the merger of Salesforce and Slack, and subsequently acquiring Troops. From creating and evangelizing a brand new concept and category, to becoming the market leader was a hell of a ride!! Helped build out the publisher side of the business.When I joined we had 1 publisher deal live to power menu data for the New York Times. In less than 2 years, we built out the largest publisher network of rich local data on the internet powering sites like Google, Yahoo, Bing, and hundreds more. Also ran marketing for a bit after the acquisition and worked on channel deals in addition expanding our publisher network and data offerings post-merger with CTCT.SinglePlatform was acquired by Constant Contact for 100 Million Dollars in June of 2012.
