Chief Medical Information Officer
CurrentPhysician leader responsible for development and implementation of health IT usage and strategy for a 100 provider private multi-specialty group. Guided the group through the transition from a paper record to a paperless system in 2 years utilizing all aspects of information technology. The group achieved PCMH Level 3 certification 3 years after going live on the EMR and all physicians achieved Meaningful Use certification in the very first year of the program and continue to certify yearly to present. I work closely with the business intelligence team to develop clinical quality reporting and clinical workflow enhancement through automated reporting and clinical decision support. Responsible for researching and developing other health IT opportunities such as telehealth, remote patient monitoring, interoperability with our local hospitals and patient engagement. As a participant in a nationally based advisory group, I provide feedback and guidance to our EMR vendor. In addition to my CMIO responsibilities, I continue to see patients 4 full days per week.
