(4) Improved team communications, faculty development reporting, workshop enrollment, and archiving of reports through the effective use of SharePoint sites. (5) Over 5000 educators attend KU Village 2010.

RESPONSIBILITIES:• Hire, on board, lead, supervise, manage, monitor, coach, and terminate (as needed) the following direct reports: Assistant Chair, five full-time instructors, and 160 adjunct faculty.• Manage faculty teaching loads and class size to assure quality. • Interpret metrics and make operational changes to improve curriculum and performance in an inventory of ten classes• Create instructor performance reports • Organize, lead, and conduct monthly faculty meetings with Adobe Connect• Research and develop new course proposals.• Identify, recruit, and supervise Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for curriculum development and revision.• Investigate and mediate student escalations and appeals.• Annual performance appraisals of direct-reports.• Assure Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation compliance at the department level. ACCOMPLISHMENTS:(1) Increased department size from 22 to 170 active instructors (2) Served a two year tenure as the Chair of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (Provost-appointed position). (3) SME for the development of the required Introduction to Humanities course and the elective Comparative Religion course. (4) Proposed and launched the History of African American Leadership course. (5) Organized and managed the first University-wide African American History literary contest. (6) Inaugural Chair of the University's Humanities General Education Committee and Critical Thinking General Education Committee. (7) Used SharePoint sites to improve communications with Assistant Chair, the scheduling of faculty, and sharing classroom resources. (8) Organized the following Learning Communities: Humanities, Philosophy, and History. (9) Liberal Arts representative for the HLC interview and visit which resulted in the approved of new Interdisciplinary Study degree program. (10) Provided leadership during the creation of the new School of General Education. (11) Staffed 100% of classes with no cancellations.
