Aquantis works to develop and commercialize underwater turbines that harness marine currents as a form of renewable energy. During my time here, I was given the responsibility to develop the testing systems for the turbine blades as it operated underwater. I successfully developed a LabVIEW program on a CompactRIO DAQ Chassis, developed the methodology on installing strain gauges onto our steel turbine spars before wrapping it in fiberglass, and developed the design of the waterproof housing that the testing system would operate in as it measured the stress and strain of the blades for bending and torsion.
