Jordan Smith is a successful entrepreneur who began hosting websites on a server under his bed at his fraternity house at KSU in 2000. After many upgrades and finally landing a spot in 1102 Grand, that small start up was acquired by a local web hosting company only 2 years after inception. Soon after Propel Wireless Internet was born, which provided business class fixed wireless to hotels, condominiums, and businesses throughout the Kansas City Metro. Only 4 short years later, Propel was acquired due to the strategic position it held in the marketplace and the level of service it provided to its customers. It became the backbone to the many other acquisitions made, and is the cornerstone that provides internet to Salina, Junction City, Manhattan, Topeka, Lawrence, and many other cities.Smith launched ICG Networks in 2008, which provided business class fixed wireless/fiber internet and private line connectivity throughout the Kansas City Metro as well as designing turn key wireless integration solutions. In addition Smith created a marketplace for Hosted VoIP solutions, Exchange, Sharepoint, and managed Colocation and Disaster Recovery options for businesses throughout the Midwest. With Jordan's love for aviation and an active commercially rated pilot, this allowed ICG the ability to be extremely mobile and respond to client demands wherever they may be throughout the United States.After ICG Networks was acquired in May of 2013, Jordan and his fiance moved to Key West, FL to pursue an opportunity to serve the local community as the FIRST and ONLY local Internet Service Provider. Key West Broadband was launched in July of 2013 to serve the hospitality industry, public, and private sectors by offering internet with speeds from 1mbps to 1gbps! In late 2014, Key West Broadband changed its name to Broadwave in order to better represent the coverage that the company offers. Broadwave now reaches customers throughout Florida, Kansas, Missouri, North California, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
