Project Metropolis is the team behind William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute's website, app, seasonal doodle games, podcasts, original music, and many other initiatives. We work alongside the student council to provide a centralized platform for school-wide communication. We have 1.1k registered students & teachers on the website, and 700+ downloads of our mobile app.

Worked under Dr. Alvine Boaye Belle, supporting research on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in computing. My work focused on identifying and addressing barriers to entry for underrepresented groups in the tech industry, as well as investigating the potential negative impacts of a lack of DEI on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies. I contributed to the research through analyzing the impact of homogenous teams on AI/ML outcomes, with a particular focus on how a lack of diverse perspectives can lead to algorithmic bias and perpetuate existing inequalities. I am passionate about using research to promote equitable access and mitigate biases in the technology sector.
