I am a biomechanical research engineer with over 16 years of experience in mechanical engineering. I am a methodical engineer who enjoys performing interdisciplinary rehabilitation research in a collaborative environment.I worked in the aerospace industry for 4 years after graduating from MIT with my undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, but I shifted my focus to neuromuscular biomechanics in graduate school in order to do work with a more direct impact on others. My interests include sports biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, assistive technology design optimization, biomechanics of human movement, and wheelchair-related research.I was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and currently have six first-author publications in top-tier biomechanics journals, and am co-author on ten others. I have presented my research at national and international conferences.
