Infrastructure Architect on loan to Program Manager; working with Global Infrastructure Services and multiple business units managing PMO project delivery.Datacenter consolidation of multiple sites into a two-datacenter model (1 North America, 1 Asia ) and pushing server virtualization above 90%.Thru 2009 - Virtualization team member meeting our goal of virtualizing 50% of North American infrastructure systems utilizing vSphere infrastructure. Deploying new virtualization clusters to accommodate growth and managing transition of physical to virtual environments. Managing global deployment in a matrix organization. Consolidation and early Cloud services adopter resulting in multiple business applications in cloud.Previously Unix technical lead for Platform and Validation; deploying and supporting a number of services including LSF farm, NIS services, NetApp cluster, Global replication, Samba, MySQL, Apache and DMZ systems.

Sr. Systems Engineer was my last title at SLB. I had many job positions within the company; CAD operations, Software Tester, Software developer, Field Equipment Tester(most fun), Global Release Manager and finally to the Computing Center for 12 Years. The CC was a very dynamic environment with many engineering groups either originating locally or being transferred into Austin. The CC job started with deploying Dec VMS systems; then on to Unix systems with Sun, SGI, Think Machines, and a dozen other flavors; then on to WinNT. I most enjoyed working with Visualization and 3D Modeling. Then in 2004 they closed the Austin Research Center and my job went to Norway. Since I get cold when I travel to North Austin, I decided not to follow.
