If I only had a few words to describe myself, they would be creative, thoughtful, analytical and persistent. These traits are reflected in my passion: creating. Throughout my entire childhood I have always loved building things. As a kid, I constructed marble roller coasters, massive lego sets, and assembled furniture whenever I was asked to (you're welcome mom). Today, I produce music with Logic Pro and my guitar, create mobile applications with XCode/Android Studio and Swift/Kotlin, and build my ideal self using meditation/introspection and self improvement strategies. My mission is to leave a beneficial impact on the world with the things I build (a Utilitarian perspective). Currently, I am building a mobile application focused on self-improvement that will allow a more streamlined approach to habit tracking and goal setting. This will help people to improve and find success in whatever they pursue. The focus will be on providing users with the ability to create a system for success, and the app will provide accountability through tracking their achievements.I am also a problem-solver. As a Lead Swift Developer at Ascent Integrated Tech, I drove the transformation of a large localization and mapping iOS application in C++/Swift, focusing on adding and modifying functionality to meet evolving user needs. This overhaul resulted in winning 1st place at the (FRST) First Responder Smart Tracking Challenge and produced a demonstrable product that bolstered sales, allowed for deployment with the our first users, and enhanced market presence. Modifications to the app like custom serialization methods, websocket connection, and adaptive streaming not only optimized performance in low-bandwidth environments but also ensured the swift delivery of vital firefighter location data.My unique skillset harnesses both creative intuition and mathematical precision. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in both Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. At Ascent Integrated Tech, I resolved an improperly rotated 3D cartesian location data issue by employing least squares and axis angle rotation in Python using NumPy and Plotly to improve our accuracy score in FRST Phase 3. I approach Software Engineering challenges with a holistic perspective, ensuring solutions that are as elegant as they are effective. With a multifaceted skill set, I seamlessly blend technical expertise with effective communication and teamwork to drive impactful solutions forward.
