[Higher Education and Non-Profit Leader]I long to see people flourish at work (and in life), and have served in various roles to empower and mobilize others for effective service in the world. For 30+ years, I have worked at the nexus of the academy, marketplace, and church. Presently, I serve as the Executive Director of the Stephen & Laurel Brown Foundation (Upper House), which is a private operating foundation that hosts a large Christian study center located at the heart of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a leadership retreat center outside of Madison, Wisconsin. In my work with students, staff, and faculty, I am impassioned about igniting theological curiosity for shaping vocational, scholarly, and professional pursuits. In my work in the marketplace, I am most passionate about helping businesspeople lead with integrity to shape a more just and sustainable world. In my work with the church and non-profit sector, I am most excited by developing/enriching leaders and strengthening capacity for greater institutional impact.Specialties: Higher education; business ethics; strategic partnerships; theological engagement; entrepreneurship; organization development; organizational effectiveness; talent management; training and development.
