The Cloud House is a growing retail chain of vaporizer stores throughout the North Island focusing on vaporizer hardware and accessories as well as e-liquid for vaporizer devices for consumers transitioning from smoking to vaping – which at the time of this role had 4 stores nationwide and was in the process of expanding further.I was privileged enough to lead the company through a transition of upgrading their IT systems from a basic retail chain operating on unreliable hardware & 3rd party software to developing a full bespoke e-commerce environment for both in-store & online sales, with integration to multiple shipping providers for deliveries nationally & internationally, as well as providing day to day support for IT issues in the retail stores throughout the country both on-site & via remote desktop support.Part of my day to day tasks here was including but not limited to: WordPress design & development, security patches & maintenance Remote technical support with Windows OS Repair & maintenance of IT equipment within the retail stores, either on-site or/and couriering devices to one of the nearby retail stores for me to pickup and work on General networking support, including DSL/UFB provisioning and management Organize regular training for retail sale staff to teach them on how to use software & devices

Newline Showers is a kiwi shower manufactured based in Tauranga, which primarily focuses on high-end shower design & development for the New Zealand market, which was recently acquired by Stein International Ltd. I worked as a temporary contractor for Event WiFi NZ under the official role of a Junior Network Technician looking after the deployment and monitoring of ISP grade wireless equipment for 2 of their major contracts (Bay Dreams & One Love Festival) over the summer season.Some of the requirements of my role were including but not limited to:- Assisting with the deployment plans & setup- Installing & post-deployment maintenance of point-to-point wireless networking equipment- Monitoring wireless access points, network traffic & potential network issues- Setting up & connecting wireless scanners to wireless access points- 24x7x365 on call for troubleshooting- Livestream deployment via dedicated point-to-point connectionsDuring this time I also gained a range of experience working with D-Link & Ubiquiti networking products.

A new & innovate medical alarm startup, Q Watch was founded by Dr Richard Walters, BSC.Built on the knowledge of a medical background, Q Watch was aimed to take over the conventional home medical alarm system used widely through New Zealand and internationally with a more reliable medical alarm operating over the GSM spectrum allowing for use during power cuts and phone lines being down.My role at Q Watch was to ensure the running of the technological innovation ran smoothly. This included daily communications with our android development team, weekly briefings with our US based team, running the VoIP and online server systems as well as their online web portals & other cloud based systems, as well as advising on all things general in the technological side of things.Q Watch was also a runner up in the 2015 New Zealand Innovation Awards.
