Employed as a geotechnical engineer at the engineering design consultant Beca Ltd. My role consisted of managing work packages, geotechnical analysis and design, report writing, mentoring of more junior staff, site investigations and construction monitoring.I was primarily involved in competitive tenders and design and construction contracts for major infrastructure projects around New Zealand and in the Pacific region. Employed as a graduate geophysicist at the engineering design consultant Golder Associates NZ Ltd. My role consisted of geophysical site investigations, interpretation of results and providing input into geotechnical assessments.I was largely involved in large mining projects, often involving remote sensing of seismic data, ground penetrating radar and electrical resistivity measurements.
