I hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect credential, and a master's degree in Business Psychology, which enable me to apply a holistic and data-driven approach to solving complex business and technical challenges.Before joining Effectual, I built and led the site reliability engineering organization at Nationwide, one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the United States. I guided industry best practice definition and adoption, helping the enterprise achieve disproportionate results in reducing business impact hours. In previous roles at Nationwide, I led large software engineering organizations, drove tooling implementations and adoptions, transformed delivery organizations, coached process improvement, owned policy administration systems, and wrote code.Before Nationwide, I worked at Indiana University and various technology startups, where my work was largely focused on Java development utilizing numerous open-source frameworks and tools.
