I have more than 20 years experience in the software development industry with several major companies such as Weyerhaeuser, EDS, and Microsoft. I started my career first as a computer skills teacher and director of IT at a private high school back in the late 90’s. From there I went into network administration and engineering, eventually mostly self-educating myself into software development roles using C++ and the Microsoft .Net framework. I was fortunate to experience working in an agile team environment very early in my software development career, when we didn’t even know it was called agile. Later moving into a more traditional software development experience I discovered my passion for helping teams and organizations transform how they operate using Lean and Agile practices and mindset. My most recent experience has been in the Microsoft Supply Chain Engineering group helping to define, implement, evangelize, and train the organization in a new operating model based on the SAFe framework. I am very passionate about my work. I most enjoy enabling others to overcome their mental and cognitive biases, empowering them to think in new more efficient ways that they never knew were possible.Specialties: Agile at enterprise scale.
