- Designed and prototyped LED rings for displaying alert/idle behavioral states on swarms of 30 autonomous robots within the Autonomous Collective System Laboratory.- Built and programmed robot prototypes through robot chassis, raspberry pis, and stepper motor HATs.- Developed image processing algorithms through Python for the robot’s on-board, decentralized camera to interpret and communicate from its neighbors’ LED colors.- Presented and explained technical findings and conclusions at university symposium of 300+ attendees.

- Defined and projected engine temperature and pressure sensor limits for production engines on 3rd and 5th highest volume builds to increase in-house testing accuracy.- Evaluated and re-designed a casting and bracket using Creo through 4 conceptual designs, material costs, and prototyping to propose a final design and implementation plan.- Collaborated and proposed with 10 other interns an improved quality audit method for engine cylinder blocks and heads to improve cleanliness operations by minimizing operator variation.

- Incorporated product support parts through engineering requests and changes with efforts of supply chain, reliability/ test/ manufacturing engineering, and assembly line operators.- Initiated clearance re-design of refrigeration copper tubing to reduce warranty noise and contact claims caused by vibration and other forces of highest volume product.- Created force testing of standoff replacement using design lab force gauges and fixtures to conclude a 10% reduction of resistant force in new samples.- Tested and analyzed 92 failed water tanks to recommend to design management to have supplier improve manufacturing and welding methods since the failure was occurring outside of in-house.
