As Procurement Manager my main achievements have been:• Design and implemented the methodology to evaluate the Business Continuity Plans for all 97 suppliers (ingredients, packaging and S&ME) using as a reference the ISO 22301 certification. • Secure the supply of key ingredients and packaging during the Covid-19 crisis avoiding any business disruption through out 2020 by developing key communication channels with suppliers.• Design and implemented the re labeling process for returnable bottles (Glass and PET) in order to comply with the new labeling norm (NOM-051) which help reduced the number of new bottles that had to be purchased by the system avoiding a +22 MM USD investment.• Implemented the digital tools to have legal contracts with ingredient and packaging suppliers in order to comply with corporate requirements and included 34 secondary packaging suppliers to the BU authorization process.• Developed the supply necessary for the implementation of the 1.350 ml lt PET flex bottle which was launched successfully in the market during 2020.• Negotiated with CEPG and Glass Suppliers pricing and availability of 200 Million bottles for the NOM-051 fleet changeover program in order to have enough volume to be on time in the market and avoid any volume loss or penalties.

My main achievement in this position were:• Design and implemented successfully the first Quality Safety and Environmental certification for the Coca-Cola Bottler System.• Updated all the Technical Courses given by CEDESKO and that will be now part of the curricula offered to the Coca-Cola System. • Actively participated with the ITESM in the design of the soft skills courses given by CEDESKO to senior managers in the Coca-Cola System

As Operations Director my main achievements were:• Price negotiations, buying and import of necessary equipment to install a new PET Blow Molding Machine with a capacity of 35 million bottles per year, managing a 3-million-dollar budget. • Design of a new lay-out for the installation of three production lines (PET and Policarbonate) with a total capacity of 350,000 pieces per month, as well as all the equipment for the manufacturing of blow molding molds in a new industrial warehouse.• Development of supply contract for PET preforms to secure supply for the new PET blowing line making sure that quality specifications were met.• Documented and implemented new hiring practices as well as updating all the sixty current personnel contracts, making sure that Human Resources Policies comply with Local Laws. • Reduce by 40% workforce rotation through the implementation of work environment upgrades such as social security for all employees, refurbishing of rest areas and cafeteria and PPE for employees.• Startup of a 20 Lts Policarbonate (extrusion-blowing) achieving maximum production rate of 35,000 pieces per month.• 30% sales increment of PET Bottles through the implementation of productivity plans, focusing on line utilization and efficiencies, increasing revenue by 50M USD per month.• Documented and implemented necessary programs to comply with social responsibility, ISO 9000 and Food Safety for our main clients (Pepsi and Coca-Cola)..

As Supply Chain Manager, my main achievements were:• 5 MM USD yearly average savings through the successful implementation of the Global Procurement programs of packaging (aluminum and PET resin) and ingredients (sugar and High Fructose) in the key bottling partners such as FEMSA, RICA, BEPENSA, Jordan and IEQSA.• More than 250 thousand dollars in savings per year implementing the Supplier Authorization Program adding more than 10 new packaging and ingredients based upon the business plan needs, productivity efficiencies, new products or technologies.• Responsible for developing the first formal system used to publish commodities pricing that was used as a key tool for the development of a more reliable price forecast, of materials such as petroleum, aluminum, corn, orange juice and coffee, that was used for the short, medium and long term business planning. • Responsible for the successful procurement of materials for the launch of PlantBottle ( first bottle with 35% of renewable and sustainable materials) eliminating the need of 14,000 tons/year of oil based resin• Lead the Company strategy to implement the Sustainable Agriculture Guiding Principles in the Mexican sugar suppliers by generating the action plans necessary to obtain de Bonsucro Certification.

In charge of coordinating the packaging recovery, reduction and recycling programs for the Mexico Division. My main responsibilities were:- Participate and represent the Company in the Technical Committee for the PET recycling plant (IMER) making strategic decisions based on the technical and financial results of the operation.- Implement packaging material recovery programs in coordination with established organizations (ECOCE and SUSTENTA).- Follow up the operation of the Sustainability Programs focusing mainly in PET and aluminum program, through light weighting and recycling strategies.

Responsible of the administration and implementation of the Supplier Authorization and Development program for primary/secondary packaging, sales & marketing equipment and ingredients, as well as the Quality Fountain Program for Mexico and Central America:• Authorization of more than 15 suppliers and/or new sources of ingredients and packaging materials securing supply and business continuity making sure risk was mitigated and prevented.• Authorization of more than 300 new primary packages per year (PET bottles, plastic closures, cans, flexible packaging) for their use in the Mexico Division through the analysis of laboratory quality results obtained by the supplier or the Company central packaging laboratory, making sure that quality requirements were met and comply with supply strategies and launch of new products.• Manage the social responsibility audit program for more than 60 Packaging and ingredients Suppliers (Mexico) achieving an overall 90% compliance based upon requirements• Manage three direct reports in charge of the primary packaging, ingredients and fountain quality audit program.

Give technical support to the bottler (dedicated to FEMSA) helping them implement the Coca-Cola Quality System in areas such as corrective actions, documentation, training, internal audit and process control. Audit bottler processes, fountain operation, product management and implement corrective action plans to resolve quality or productivity problems.Make sure the correct infrastructure, information and training is available for all new product launches.
