Worked with Sr Systems Administrator to administer Windows servers and workstations for entire company and remote locations. Designed, implemented, and administered new network environments for clients needing new network installations including routers, switches, wireless, and broadband connection to the customer’s premise. Designed, implemented and managed wireless point to point systems used to connect multiple buildings in a campus environment into a single cohesive wired and wireless network.Key Contributions:Worked with Sr Systems Administrator to troubleshoot and correct various issues impacting the corporate LAN. Re-evaluated entire topology configuration and implemented needed changes to improve overall stability performance of entire network.Developed and implemented a corporate wide mobile device management program to track over 250 iPads and Android tablets used out in the field using AirWatch MDM. This gave us greater control over those devices and the information on them, allowing us to locate or wipe devices if needed.Designed several Wi-Fi, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint wireless solutions, using top tier proven vendors, that could be implemented for our clients as needed.Introduced company to MikroTik routers which were then used for customer installs. This gave our clients a cost effective alternative option to Cisco routers without compromising any security or functionality. Implemented a centralized management platform that allows us to monitor and administer all MikroTik routers deployed through a simple management interface.Designed, developed, implemented and deployed a “mini-pop” solution to 30 remote locations. This consisted of a MikroTik router, 24v/48v managed PoE smart switch, wireless AP with a central controller, and IP VoIP telephone. This allowed us to connect, monitor, and administer all 30 remote locations from our centralized management platform for ease of administration.

Designed and implemented a highly available network infrastructure and redundant disaster recovery solution.Key Contributions:Planned and implemented Y2K compliance plan for the entire operation including servers, workstations, time clocks, peripheral devices, and all business applications. Partnered with software and hardware vendors to update or replace non-compliant applications and hardware.Migrated company from a noncompliant Novell server with Pervasive SQL to a Windows server with MS SQL to prepare for a major needed update to the company’s ERP software. Partnered with the ERP software’s consultant to migrate all data into the new platform for a seamless transition to the new compliant environment. This also improved database responsiveness and employee efficiency.Redesigned the companies topology for better performance and reliability, and replaced aging network hubs with high speed manageable business class switches with a core to edge design to correct network bottle-necks and to increase network performance well over 100%Eliminated various dial-up connections and replaced it with a T1 line that connected the entire company to the internet and reduced their total internet cost to 1/3 of the previous cost. Installed and configured Cisco security appliance for added security through IDS and IPS. Installed centrally managed McAfee anti-Virus solution using e-Policy Orchestrator (ePO).Configured and installed a MS Exchange server and MS Outlook to centralize all business email. Installed MS Office Pro on all workstations. This greatly improved employee efficiency and customer satisfaction.
