• Responsible for all consumer related services at JumiaPay, including the JumiaPay app – a financial services marketplace operating in 8 countries across Africa with close to 10 million downloads, and all strategic initiatives related to consumers (P2P solutions, Buy Now Pay Later, as well as virtual and physical cards). • Design, set and implement the yearly strategy and budgets for the Consumer streams as well as supervise the product roadmap.• Directly manage a team of +40 local marketing and business development staff and work hand in hand with our product team made of five scrum teams. • Steer and monitor the performance of central support teams, including operations and customer service, finance, legal and compliance.

• Member of the founding team of JumiaPay, the fintech arm of Jumia. • Leading the deployment across all the markets where our Jumia Group ventures are present of JumiaPay as well as our future financing solutions for both our merchants and customers. • Launched JumiaPay in 8 countries and grew the vertical from concept to one of the key strategic pillars for the group since FY20 • Responsible for all regulatory, financial, legal and operational aspects, including all engagements with regulators. • Responsible for managing the relationship with our banking and payment partners from beginning to end and negotiating the commercial terms related to these partnerships in coordination with local teams.• Designed and implemented operational processes in conjunction with the product team to ensure maximum efficiency and customer experience. • During this period, prepayments for the group went from less than 10% of transactions to more than 30% via JumiaPay.

• Managed and oversaw all financial aspects and reporting of the Kenyan ventures to the Head Office and investors, including Jumia, Jumia Travel (Jovago), Jumia Food (Hellofood), Jumia House (Lamudi), Jumia Services, Jumia Deals, Jumia Market (Kaymu) and EasyTaxi. • Led the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive ERP, financial reporting processes, internal controls, and compliance in Kenya. • In charge of all payment related functions (both prepayment and cash on delivery). • Built top-down and bottoms-up budgeting processes by department that reduced the cash burn and improved our forecasting process. • Responsible for the short term and long term financial plans, including coordination between head-office and the ventures at local level. • Active member of the management team for strategic and tactical matters related to the different ventures.

• Over 10 years’ experience in the Big-4, including audit and M&A advisory. • Led buy- and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to corporate and private equity investors. • Analyzed target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks that impact valuation and negotiation of the target. • Created and designed tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation model input assumptions, achievability of management's budget, and indebtedness considerations. • Involved in +50 deals ranging from $50 million to $9 billion primarily for private equity clients interested in targets in the Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Cable and Food Processing industries.
