I advise on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, with a special interest in privacy, technology, consumer and aviation law. I have broad and extensive corporate and commercial expertise, having acted for many years for some of New Zealand’s largest corporates and Government departments. I have a specific interest in privacy law and consumer law, and provide specialist advice to a wide range of clients (nationally and internationally) in these areas. A large part of my practice involves the drafting and negotiation of, and advising on, commercial contracts for both New Zealand and international corporates and Government departments. In particular, I provide advice on supply, distribution and services arrangements (including many large and complex cross border supply and distribution agreements), technology contracts (licensing, development and end user agreements), with a particular focus on SaaS arrangements. I have also spent many years advising on aircraft sales, financing, maintenance and lease agreements and other commercial arrangements involving aircraft services (in NZ and abroad).Over the years, I have also provided extensive advice on consumer law and privacy issues faced by both small and large businesses, and had continuous involvement in many M&A transactions.
