Responsible for all commercial training including: writing and delivery of courses and new course development. Delivering waste management training Assessing waste management qualifications Advice given companies about their site staff training requirements (including level 4 CoTCs), Dissemination of advice to new level 4 CoTC candidates Lead for Ofsted inspections. Responsible for Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity within the Company. Quality Assurance auditing of all sub-contractors.

Promotion and education of waste minimisation, re-use and recycling to the public, schools and the business sector – the latter through The South Wessex Waste Minimisation Group.Commercial activities include the review of tenders and recommendations for awards of contracts, and managing the recycling budget. Design of promotional and educational material and the writing of press releases.Running existing schemes, whilst investigating new ones to comply with recent legislation.

Writing Environmental Impact Assessments for Poultry Litter Fuel Plants.

Managing the office opening ceremony, liaising with local authorities, Thai and European newspapers, local officials and hotels and businesses.Publication of a Sriracha Engineering Office capabilities brochure.

Initiation of new schemes for plastics, textiles, cans, batteries and CFC recovery, and expansion of existing schemes of glass and paper recycling. Established the Dorset Recycling Group to achieve countywide effective recycling schemes.Liaison with voluntary organisations and industry – with particular emphasis on obtaining sponsorship from the latter. Education and promotion of litter, waste management and recycling to children as well as the general public, through illustrated talks and site visits. Design of promotional and educational material, in particular an education pack for all Dorset Schools.Contributor to the waste disposal plan. Presentation of recycling papers at conferences. Writing of press releases and regularly taking part in National radio and television interviews. Commercial activities include the writing of contracts for new recycling schemes, including review of tenders and recommendations for awards of contracts.Member of Waste Watch Steering Group.

Liaison with other local authorities, voluntary organisations, the police and industry. Education of the public and schools of recycling schemes and anti-litter strategies. Promotion of these schemes through illustrated talks and specifically designed information leaflets and education packs. Implementation of anti-litter campaigns with the local police. Initiated a recycling information network through Hampshire.

Liaison with site engineers, Dorset County Council, landowners, English Nature and construction contractors. The control of all aspects of ongoing engineering works, to minimise environmental impact on surrounding Sites of Special Scientific Interest and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Environmental impact survey work – before and after construction work. Advice and instruction to contractors on environmental issues prior to works commencement, and environmental input into planning and engineering meetings.Monitoring and recording of surrounding water levels and quality control.

Research on the invertebrate distribution on mud flats, mapping breeding birds, littoral algae and floral distribution, rare flora mapping, general botanical surveys, invertebrates and erosion rates investigations.Promotion and education of the general public and schools on all environmental issues, through site visits, exhibitions and illustrated talks.Design of exhibition material and information leaflets.Liaison with local countryside wardens and councillors.Assisting in the running of the local ‘Watch Group’.
