The Swiss Finance Council was established in November 2013 to engage in dialogue around policy developments in finance at a European and international level. It represents the interests of internationally active Swiss financial institutions and provides a platform to share their experience, expertise and knowledge through a permanent representative office in Brussels.The organization will enable its members to participate in policy discussions regarding European and international finance-related issues and will develop positions and contribute on their behalf in the international and EU-level policy-making process.

The Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group has been set up to help facilitate consultation with stakeholders in areas relevant to the tasks of ESMA. The Group is consulted on actions concerning regulatory technical standards and implementing technical standards.The Group is made up of 30 stakeholders from various areas, of which a minimum of 5 representatives of retail investors and 5 academics. The Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group (here called the SMSG or the Group) was first established in April 2011 under ESMA’s founding Regulation to help facilitate consultation with stakeholders in all areas relevant to ESMA’s tasks. It held its first meeting in July 2011. The second mandate of the SMSG was launched in January 2014 and came to an end in June 2016. During this period, the Group produced 28 public opinions, advice and own initiative reports. More detail about these activities are included herewith and are available on the ESMA website.

FESE represents exchanges, comprising the markets for securities, financial derivatives and energy and commodity derivatives at European level. In 2008, Judith was named Lobbyist of the Year in 2008 by the Euromoney publication Compliance Reporter at the 6th Annual Achievement in Regulatory Compliance Awards for the role played by FESE, under her leadership, in the Code of Conduct for Clearing and Settlement of Securities.In 2013, Judith was instrumental in launching the IPO of the year award. The award aims to highlight the best European small and mid-sized companies who have gained access to capital markets via an Initial Public Offering (IPO). They were founded by the European Commission, FESE and EuropeanIssuers with the aim of highlighting what can be achieved by small and mid-cap companies who have raised money on public exchanges through IPOs.

Founded in 1967, the European Mortgage Federation is the voice of the mortgage industry at EU level.It groups both national associations and individual lenders from the 15 long-standing European Member States, as well as representatives from the New Member States. Together, its members grant over 75% of residential and commercial mortgage loans in Europe. During 1997 and 2004, the European Mortgage Federation grew to be the voice of Europe's lenders and became the main source of statistical information with regard to developments in housing and mortgage markets in Europe. The EMF was also instrumental in the adoption of the European Code of Conduct which introduced a uniform standard information sheet for mortgages offers across Europe.in 2004, Judith was instrumental in launching the European Covered Bond Council (ECBC).

The European Covered Bond Council (ECBC) is the platform that brings together covered bond market participants including covered bond issuers, analysts, investment bankers, rating agencies and a wide range of interested stakeholders. The ECBC was created by the European Mortgage Federation (EMF) in 2004. The Council has over 100 members across more than 25 active covered bonds jurisdictions and many different market segments. The ECBC represents over 95% of covered bond issuers in the EU.The purpose of the ECBC is to represent and promote the interests of covered bond market participants at the international level. The ECBC’s main objective is to be the point of reference for matters regarding the covered bond industry and operate as a think-tank, as well as a lobbying and networking platform for covered bond market participants.
