I teach painting for Grumbacher, demonstrating the use of their materials.

I am a self-employed artists working on landscapes and figures in my studio and in Plein Air. My current series of Mists Paintings are created in pastel. I am now creating Mists Paintings in oils. I am interested in how the light breaks through mists in landscape. Their is a transcendent quality to this atmosphere that suggests mystery and power. In addition I work actively in Plein Air, looking for capturing the light of the moment out side in the every changing light. See my work on my website.

I taught a variety of Fine Art and Decorative Arts Classes.Fine Art Classes in Color Theory, oil, acrylic and pastel painting.Decorative Arts Classes include One Stroke Painting, Stencil Applications and Zentangle Design.My approach to teaching can be both instructor directed and student centered depending on the need.

In this position I served as a website facilitator. I collected information about the gallery and its events and uploaded the information unto the website. I helped artists, prepare their images and bios, then I uploaded those for them. I assisted in streamlining their inventory system in order to create a seamless record keeping process so that they might be able to expand their revenue through the creation of an online gallery and running online exhibitions.

Judith home educated her four children, her two oldest daughters through high school. her oldest son through Sophomore year in high school, and youngest through high school, which ends in June 2009 with graduation. As teacher and facilitator, she assessed her students skills and interests and then researched or designed curriculum appropriate to their skills and and interests that would provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning.Her oldest daughter has been an accountant at KPMG in New York City following graduation from college. Then she worked for Beers and Cutler in the DC area for several years. Currently she is preparing for international accounting.Her second oldest is studying for her PHD in Musicology at NYU, since returning from Queens College in Belfast Ireland after completing graduate school there.Her oldest son is currently in graduate school at Ball State University having received a fellowship in Exercise Physiology Research.

As Exhibition Chair for the League, I was responsible for setting up exhibitions for the League artists. I had to contact and contract venues and jurors, process the artist digital art images preliminary submissions, arrange for delivery, display,and return of artwork and prepare receptions. I also prepared the press releases and over saw the preparation and distribution of any hardcopy for the Exhibitions.My unique contribution to the growth of the League was through the creation of an event called the 2007 Downer Avenue Plein Air Painting Competition in which I contracted the the businesses on Downer Avenue in Milwaukee to sponsor and facilitate this 7day painting competition. The event culminated with a two day exhibition and sale of artists work during which we sold over $15,000 worth of art. This has led to consulting work for other Plein Air events.

I created art lessons for children in grades 1st through 8th grade and taught 4 classes each day.We created projects with a purpose that paralleled their academic studies. I also worked in a basic drawing classes that introduced them to contour drawing, tonal drawing and the begining of color theory. We worked in a variety of media form acrylic, clay, yarn to plaster and wire to found objects. We drew from nature and photos and the imagination. inspired by stories and musings.
