During this time I worked in the Shared Services Center of FAO in Budapest. Provided general Human Resources support to FAO staff in Rome HQ and in the field (Sudan, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Somalia and Kenya) working under FAO's Emergency and Rehabilitation Program (TCE). Duties included providing human resources advice to employees, manage their benefits and entitlements, on-boarding & separation, initiate payroll and non-payroll payments, position management, contract extensions, and reviewing inconsistent policies and streamlining business processes.As elected staff representative, I also represented FAO in the UN Local Salary Survey Committee. I have participated in international trainings organized by the UN Office of Human Resources Management and as a member of the Committee I have contributed to interim adjustments and annual salary reviews.
