Whether it’s matching the right person with the right job or coming up with engaging brand copy, hard-hitting news, fun pop-culture features, pithy relationship advice, health and wellness stories, humorous essays, or oddball books, I can do it. I’ve never met a deadline I couldn’t tackle or a topic I was unable to master quickly. I’m fast, clean, easy-to-work-with, and have the clips and references to prove it. Five years ago I transitioned into recruiting and have placed editorial, marketing, design, UX, tech, content, and even medical professionals in roles ranging from entry level to c-suite. In addition to crafting strategic positioning copy for Fortune 100 brands, I've been a columnist for the Seattle Weekly, MSN.com, Time.com, TheFrisky.com, New York Press, Men’s Fitness, and the Eugene Weekly. Ever wonder who REALLY wrote that celebrity tattoo artist's book? It might have been one of mine. Along the way, I've also contributed funny essays and features for various publications like Esquire.com, ForbesTraveler.com, Vibe, The Daily Meal, Bust, Paper, Time Out, and Complex, among many, many others. One of my most fun gigs was channeling the voice of TV's "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson for a prom dress manufacturer. Along the way, I've written horoscopes and quizzes for movie launches, hipster wine recommendations for a vineyard looking to capture the millennial market, and even an e-book about airports. I'm also the head copywriter at the Center for Emotional Marketing, where I write copy for brands like Aetna, Ragu, and Jell-O, among others. On other platforms, I co-hosted "Arts & Seizures" on the Heritage Radio Network, worked as a producer and researcher on several different true-crime documentaries, had a development deal with MTV, and even wrote, produced and starred in a one-woman play. Huffington Post listed my first book, "How Not to Date" alongside David Sedaris and Mindy Kaling in their round up of "46 Hilarious Books Guaranteed to Make you Laugh Out Loud." Specialties: Copywriting, branding, marketing, positioning, humor, relationships, hard news, pop culture, travel, crime.
