My target market was and still is the 50+ age group. At that time, the housing market took a huge crash, which resulted in many older employees being downsized or retiring.At the time, I was working for a small business and doing website and marketing work on the side. My journey into entrepreneurship began with a cousin who went to school at 50 to become an esthetician. She hired me to do her website, marketing, PR, and evaluate software needed to run her spa.From there, the referrals started coming in. Like minded women entrepreneurs reached out to my cousin for a referral in starting their own business, navigating the internet, marketing and PR, etc.Helping these women became my passion. With a background in technology, I gave them lessons, evaluated what software would help them fine-tune their business practices, referred them to their local SCORE chapter to obtain mentorship, and access to classes of different subject matter.JudysBusinessBlog began in 2008. I wanted a place to give much needed tips and information to the small business woman entrepreneur.
