Leading the employee benefit communication practice at Alera Group Philadelphia, I have over 28 years of experience consulting with employers on the design, funding, administration and communication of health and welfare benefit plans. My experience serving in the capacity of Senior Account Manager provided me with exceptional technical skills that serve as a strong foundation for my role as a benefit communicator. I began my career at Alera Group Philadelphia (formerly Integrated Benefit Services, then Pentra, then Alera Group) as an Account Manager, successfully managing clients' benefit programs in a wide variety of industries. With a strong aptitude for client service and management, I quickly progressed to Senior Account Manager. In this capacity, I was accountable for the proactive, results-driven requirements that are demanded in this position. With a skill and passion for writing and editing, I gravitated to employee benefit communications. As a result of my interest and increased client demand, I subsequently assumed responsibility for the communications practice. As a Senior Communication Consultant, I am accountable to help Alera Group clients improve the financial performance of their health care and group insurance benefit programs by engaging employees in the plans and programs offered. I recognize that organizations can make a positive impact on health outcomes, employee productivity and employee appreciation, however to do so, employees must be educated and motivated to take action. I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and maintain my Health, Life and Annuities licenses.
