Senior Case Manager
Current• Assist victims of international terrorist incidents with filing claims for reimbursement of expenses incurreddue to the attack such as funeral and burial, medical expenses and property loss.• Answer claimant questions and general inquiries through both the International Terrorism Victim ExpenseReimbursement Program (ITVERP) Hotline and the ITVERP email.• Verify all expenses and collateral sources to ensure victims are reimbursed for applicable expenses.• Collaborate with federal and state agencies, including the FBI, the National Security Division, and StateDepartment, and state compensation programs to ensure victims have access to available resources.• Conduct outreach to victims identified by other agencies to ensure victims are aware of ITVERP and theclaims process.• Collaborate internally with the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and Office for Victims of Crime’sLeadership to ensure that all ITVERP regulations are being followed, victims’ needs are being met andprogram policy is updated as new issues arise.• Audit and analyze program data for reporting purposes, such as the Annual Report, the Report to Congressand contract reports.• Attend victim centered trainings to expand knowledge in the field of victims’ services.• Work with Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to develop a new ITVERP database.management system and online application portal including continuing management and upgrades.• Provide training and how-to manuals for the ITVERP case management system to OVC Leadership, OGCand other stakeholders who need to access the system.• Participate in internal meetings to discuss program milestones and ways to improve the program.• Provide technical support to users of the external online application system.
