Jules is a certified and experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (IASSC) and holds international accredited certificates for Lean competency from Cardiff University (LCS, level 2a). He pursued intensive training in change management at Krauthammer. Jules has a BSc. in Biosciences from the HAN University of Applied Sciences. He has 20 years of experience in the laboratory sector which includes 13 years as a Consultant.He supports Roche’s clients in process improvement using cobas LabAdvance Lean methodology. He completed over 30 Rapid Improvement/Kaizen events (RIEs) and performed several VSAs as a start for Lean transformation. He can combine Lean with Six Sigma tools when necessary. Also, he executed over 25 LabScans which involves a quick and valuable observation of the total process at Roche’s clients. This results in a report with remarks and suggestions to improve quality and cost effectiveness. Furthermore, he set up Real Estate consultancy services to guide Roche client’s in the design for new lab layouts and supports the setup of Roche’s cobas LabAdvance Academy.In addition he is a member of the advisory board of a Dutch laboratory magazine (“LabInsights”, a multimedia platform that reaches 30.000 laboratory professionals per month).He guides the client through the process towards maximizing efficiency. His qualities are honesty, creativity, accuracy and persistency. He has a practical, can-do-attitude, and his calm and empathetic approach enhance the communication in an effective and positive manner.
