This internship mainly consisted of doing research for increased fundraising opportunities, like new grants and potential companies to solicit donations from. I then created databases of this information using Excel for the rest of the department's benefit I also assisted in thanking donors, put together a vision for a fundraising gala, and was a founding.

I assisted with the set-up and tear-down of about three events a month all around Gainesville. I also got the opportunity to assist the event planners of a wedding the day of, making sure everything was in place and things were running smoothly and on time.

Each week we put together a newsletter using ConstantContact highlighting the events happening each weekend in the area. I also conducted detailed research on cave diving in the North Florida area for potential international marketing opportunities.

In addition to being a waitress, I also assisted in planning small-scale bridal and baby showers. I met with the clients, went through the contract with them, helped decorate to match the theme on their special day, and I also handled some of the financial side by receiving their deposits.
