Founded and co-led a global consulting collective providing strategic advisory services to agencies and foundations with health and human rights agendas. Clients included: UNAIDS• Researched and developed a report on sustaining the human rights response to HIV and organizing and facilitating a global consultation with leading HIV, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and human rights activists and donors; developed a tool to map community-based HIV service delivery for national program implementers and managers.The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund)• Developed the Key Populations Action Plan 2014-2017; undertook an independent evaluation of the Global Fund’s Partnership Forum to determine its efficacy as a governance mechanism; developed a methodology and agenda for engaging civil society in the development of the Global Fund’s 2017-2021 strategy.Open Society Foundations• Led resource mobilization efforts for HIV and human rights programming in southern Africa; represented OSF on the Private Foundations constituency of the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; supported analyses of policies and developments at the Global Fund; facilitated a strategic review of the Public Health Program’s five-year strategy.The Ford Foundation• Carried out a review of the Foundation’s global HIV program and provided strategic support to grantees as they transitioned away from Ford Foundation support.

• Developed advocacy strategies and organizational policies and procedures as a member of the Management Team.• Led fundraising efforts including writing grant proposals and reports, cultivating and sustaining relationships with foundations, and developing and managing organizational budget.• Directed advocacy program in the Caribbean including working with LGBT and HIV/AIDS activists to challenge discriminatory laws and policies.• Coordinated advocacy in support of the establishment of UN Women, including lobbying ambassadors, drafting public statements, analyzing policy developments, and strategizing with leaders in the women’s rights movement.• Contributed to documentation of mass rapes that took place during Zimbabwe’s 2008 election violence leading to a decision by the South African National Prosecuting Authority to investigate the crimes.

· Managed a thirteen million dollar grants portfolio that supported over three hundred human rights and community development organizations across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.· Oversaw strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, policy development, board relations, foundation fundraising, grants management, and staff management (21 staff and consultants globally).· Spearheaded LGBT and sex worker rights programming and increased visibility of AJWS in philanthropic, international development, and human rights sectors through public speaking, networking, and writing.· Worked closely with advocacy department to ensure public positions taken by the organization were consistent with priorities of AJWS grantees worldwide.
