Julia Hamlett MSW, LCSW, AASWHey there! I am a mental health outpatient therapist with LifeStance Health. I specialize in working with kids, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with varying diagnoses and mental health related symptoms. I am certified in Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) and my therapy dog, Kona, works alongside me as a "co-therapist" during my in-office days. Before LifeStance, I worked as a mental health outpatient therapist at a local community mental health center for about 4 years. I have been dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families in their mental health journeys through a strength-based and trauma-informed approach. I integrate various evidence-based interventions in the therapeutic setting, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness practices, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and many more. My goal is to assist clients in developing effective coping skills, healing practices, and resilience while promoting empowerment and well-being. I believe in creating a therapeutic environment that is safe, holistic, and collaborative, allowing clients to explore their strengths in efforts to overcome challenges.
