My responsibilities as a proofreader are to examine municipal codes for errors. The job requires a very fine sense of detail, and this skill improves as time goes on. I act as an informal liaison between the IT Department and the other proofreaders as our company advances through several technological changes. As an indexer I examine full municipal codes and manipulate the section headings and topics so anyone can look up the relevant information at any time. In the future, as indexes are transferred online, more capabilities may be added.

I have the expertise to tutor math to children with a variety of backgrounds, including those with disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. Those starting at a kindergarten level would use Singapore Math, while those starting in upper grades would use Saxon Math. Either way, I do not rely strictly on said programs. Rather, I integrate the students' interests, difficulties and learning styles. I am not fond of an over-reliance on memorization. Instead, creativity and analytical skills are fostered. I also encourage the child to come to their own realizations about the concepts at hand. Those conclusions tend to stick longer than those that are spoon-fed. One notable case I've had was a student who was four years behind grade level. So far in one year I have gotten her to be a single grade behind. She used to hate math.
