I am a seasoned educator, professional development specialist, instructional leader, and curriculum designer with 11+ years experience working in a variety of environments. Inspired by collaboration, ideation, and creativity, I am at my best in dynamic, team-oriented spaces. To my work I always bring a collective spirit and a commitment to learning with and from others. ____________________________________________________________________________I have a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction and have designed curricula for 40+ courses. Applying theories of teaching and learning for a broad range of audiences is one of my many passions, and I love tailoring my teaching and training for diverse audiences. I have substantial leadership and people development experience. At the Denver Center for International Studies (DCIS), I served as the department chair of the English department, Lead Teacher on the Instructional Leadership Team, peer observer, and site coordinator. At UC Davis, I worked as a Teaching Consultant for the Center for Educational Effectiveness where I supported the professional and instructional development of graduate students from across the university.I am a PhD Candidate at UC Davis (ABD). My research touches on embodiment, multimodality, and teacher learning. I am committed to advancing ideas about the expressive potential of socially constructed learning and culturally-sustaining pedagogy.
