Julia started her career as a biostatistician specializing in cancer clinical trial analysis. She has worked as a statistical analyst at both the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts and at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She holds degrees from Stanford University, the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Julia changed paths to raise her three children, and moved into a second career of community engagement and leadership.Julia is a past president of the Harvard University Club of Houston and a current board member. She serves as chair of the Houston Learning Network and fellow of the American Leadership Forum. In 2015, she received the Harvard Alumni Association Recognition Award for exceptional efforts resulting in outstanding and innovative programming for the Harvard University Club of Houston.
