Working as a skills instructor and camp leader has been beneficial to my communication, leadership, and personable skills. By working with kids ages 4-16 in a group setting of 4-20 kids, I have been able to fulfill my role as a coach while leading them through drills and games on-ice, running dryland and games off-ice, and being a camp leader before and after ice sessions. This has enabled me to work on skills such as scheduling, adaptability, accountability, and much more.

Working for both the Canlan Adult Safe Hockey League and Youth Hockey League is a great experience in managing, multitasking, organizing, and coordinating. My job entails registering players, organizing and computing roster and game sheets, scorekeeping, acting as first aid on duty, ensuring games are running on time, and more.

Festival Operations Intern of Sappyfest 18, an annual independent music and arts festival in Sackville, New Brunswick. The internship was obtained through Mount Allison University's Experiential Learning and Internship program. As Festival Operations Intern, my responsibilities include: volunteer, vendor, and advertiser recruitment, organization , and scheduling for the festival; being in charge of community engagement in working with local businesses to partner and promote each other; support festival logistics such as booking, contracting, and scheduling suppliers; assist in marketing and creating promotional content for the festival. Working for Sappyfest 18 gives me many opportunities to reach out and make connections in the community, frequently correspond with suppliers and vendors, and participate in and host in business meetings.

Acted as an assistant coach to a U15 girls spring hockey team. Fulfilled my duties off the ice as an evaluator, on the bench as the defensive coach, and on the ice assisting the head coach in running drills. This was a great experience for me to give back to girls hockey by acting as a role model and leader to girls in hockey who are going through similar experiences that I once did. As well, being involved with a team from a coaching perspective brought new learning experiences and leadership skills unattainable otherwise.

At North Shore Winter Club, I work as a camp leader and instructor for the Cammi Granato Hockey School. This job entails empowering young female hockey players, ages 6-16, through encouraging coaching and off-ice leadership. My job on the ice included assisting former Olympian Cammi Granato coach and run drills, while off-ice was working as a camp leader with activities such as dryland and leadership seminars.
