Recruiting and Hiring- As a manager, having the proper team in place is crucial to a successful business. I actively participated in our district hiring fairs, as well as recruited individuals for my location. I was responsible for the hiring process in its entirety and in doing so, I familiarized myself with both state and federal hiring and recruiting guidelines.Training and Development- I ensured ongoing training and development, even with seasoned associates, to promote a strong and knowledgable team. I participated in weekly coaching sessions with my assistant manager and led store meetings to motivate the team to continue their individual development.Customer Service- Consistently analyzed customer service data and derived what was successful for us and what was not. I continually trained and coached my team through customer interactions which led to a top finish in our customer service ranking.Profit and Loss Management- As a business, we consistently looked to reduce costs and loss to increase profitability. I created an awareness of external loss, and decreased internal and in transit shrink through proper training and accountability.Scheduling for Effectiveness- Planning and prioritizing when scheduling always makes for running a more effective business, while also allowing for potential changes and adjusting to the business needs.
