Julia Morgan, BSc, PG Cert, PG Dip, MA, MSc, PhD, SFHEA is Associate Professor in Public Health and Wellbeing at the University of Greenwich. She is a health professional and has worked on a child development study at the Institute of Psychiatry and for several non-government organisations which focus on community participation for families and children. Her research interests centre upon social justice and reducing inequality; EDI and Higher Education; Nomadic and Indigenous Peoples; rural and remote health; maternal and child health; and women’s health. She is currently researching the experiences of Black women who have been diagnosed with ADHD as an adult; the role of community health workers in supporting maternal health for Tribal women in India and Indigenous women’s experiences of childbirth in Columbia. She is the co-editor of two Routledge books 1) ‘Social Science Perspectives on Global Public Health’ and 2) Contemporary Issues in Health and Social Care Policy and Practice: A Comparative Introduction. She is also the co-editor on two forthcoming books: 1) Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller Communities in the United Kingdom: Critical Perspectives on Higher Education.
