I am a University of Florida graduate with a bachelors of science in Biology at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, a minor in Spanish, and a certificate for Spanish in the Health Professions.My passion for the medical field began through shadowing experiences before I became a student at UF, inspired by the compassion, professionalism, and vulnerability in healthcare. Through years of experience as a swimming instructor and coach, I gained strong communication skills as well as a love for teaching and mentorship. Additionally, after years of Spanish at the university level, I immersed myself in both the language and culture spending a few months in Santiago, Dominican Republic on a service-based study-abroad. As an aspiring physician, I hope to carry with me the experiences and people I have met along the way to care for patients with adaptability, grace, and empathy. I am looking to connect with others in healthcare, as I look for internship opportunities in the field.
