Hello! My name is Julia Solano and my pronouns are She/Her. I began my college journey in the Fall of 2019. As a freshman, I stumbled on my first Women and Gender Studies course by accident. I had no idea that taking a general education course would be so impactful. I instantly fell in love and declared my major as Women and Gender Studies. This department has taught me how to be a critical thinker. With the ability to address some of the most complex issues in our society. While at the same time maintaining knowledge of how gender, race, class, and sexuality are interconnected and affected globally. As I have been working at San Onofre School I have developed a passion for working individually with students. I want to expand my experience in providing individualized support.
